Plaintiff brought this action on behalf of herself and those similarly situated alleging Dollar failed to provide rest and meal periods in conformity with California law. Initially, the trial court granted Dollar's motion for judgment on the pleadings and denied Plaintiff's motion for class certification. On appeal, the court of appeal reversed. The opinion is Bufil v. Dollar Financial, 162 Cal. App. 4th 1193 (2008). The matter is now back before the trial court. The trial court granted final approval of a class action settlement reached by the parties on May 11, 2010. Simpluris, Inc. is the claims administrator.
